Never experienced any such breakup with msp patching. When you'll uninstall
it from ARP, it would also remove the msp installation. But when you'll
 only remove msp from ARP, it should restore files it had replaced and
should not harm the original installation.

The differential patch only update the files it would find different and so
only patched files would get the updated version. That also helps to
identify which files were patched before...
