There are a couple features (e.g. patching and doc) to finish before WiX v4-preview.1 is ready for official release. WiX v4 ships as soon as we feel we found and fixed the necessary bugs in v4-preview.1. So, we're close.

Close enough to complete that WiX v4 dev builds can be used by the brave to start flushing out bugs in most scenarios (e.g. not patching).

Dear Rob,

I may have missed something, but GitHub page and the WixToolset.org still talks about WiX Toolset v4.0.0-preview.0 in their latest info and I didn't see any update on Wix v4

Do you have any status update - I think I read somewhere was you want this to happen this year 2022 ... but we are already in September ?
Are you planning to do the video with that preview version or  newer version ?

PS: I may be blind and have missed any announcement,  excuse me if that is the case

Greetings all. I wanted to let you know about a new weekly live YouTube show I'm starting tomorrow, Wednesday September 7th at 12:30 PM PDT called "Deployment Dojo" (https://youtu.be/_Mee9RAbJPc).

This show is about _getting started with_ and _using_ WiX v4 to build software installation packages. The goal is to start with the most basic of WiX v4 concepts and slowly introduce additional techniques week after week. A good friend of mine is the first student. He has _zero deployment experience_ which should help ensure we start at the ground floor.

I hope you will join us to learn about WiX v4 and ask your question in the comments to possibly be answered in a future show.
