[wix-users] What possible causes for Win32Exception in Engine.FormatString

Hi,

We've build an installer in Wix 3.10, with a burn bootstrapper with Wix WPF
ui.

Some customer is reporting an Win32Exception error during the phase in
which we call FormatString to translate "
[ProgramFilesFolder]companyname\softwarename'" to the correct install
folder.

We had that issue before when on a machine the path environment variable
contained an empty path element, but this time all environment variables
look good.

Is anyone aware of any other possible causes for
IBootstrapperEngine:FormatString to throw this exception?
