Thanks for the suggestion.

I really only need the registry value (since the referenced directory may not be created by this install), but I use type "directory" so that the returned value has the trailing '\' even if the registry value didn't.  It's never caused a problem in the past.

When Type="directory", you should nest a DirectorySearch element.If you're fine with just getting the registry value, set Type to raw.
