It's in the `wix convert` code, which you've already played around in. The issue is at https://github.com/wixtoolset/issues/issues/6425. If the actual subject matter is interesting, let me know and I can assign the issue to you. If not, it's on my list for this weekend.

4/15/21 meeting? An issue number or a brief description would be helpful.

I hope that I have not worn out my welcome. My efforts are real and well-intentioned. I recognize your limited bandwidth, especially at this point in your product's release cycle.
