[wix-users] Errors in SchedSecureObjectsRollback

The CAs need to store the data to roll back objects that exist before install. The log message is saying that it couldn't do that. Maybe it could be worded a bit friendlier? 😊

Are you setting permissions on things that don't exist? Seems like the CA might need some work to only perform the action if the object exists.  Pull requests always welcome.

Hi there,

we use Util:PermissionEx to set some permissions on files, folders, and ServiceInstall.

In some log files, the custom action SchedSecureObjectsRollback writes several lines such as:
SchedSecureObjectsRollback: Failed to store ACL rollback information with error 0x80070003 - continuing (the error number varies from line to line)

Installation does not fail, and I understand that this failure to store some rollback information is not very likely to cause troubles on the target system.

However, is there a way to avoid these errors? Not wanting to bother some customer admins with such messages...
