[wix-users] How to downgrade dll version in msp

Version lying  usually does the trick.  Any chance you can take the old source code and recompile it with a new version number that way you are still going forward?

are there any possibilities to force downgrade versioned dlls in msp?
Any transitive components, uninstall old, replace by new?
If I unzip msp I figured out that in the msp is valid dll, it suggested that it is not replaced during msp application.
