Perhaps because programmers as a species have been indoctrinated that
warnings serve a purpose, and should not be ignored? If the compiler cannot
warn you about anything, then at least you don't have to worry about those
particular problems. Other problems are always waiting in the wings, of
course.

I typically do per-machine installs and don't remember the last time I've
done a per-user install. I'm doing one now that has nearly 10k files
harvested by Heat. My destination directory structure is under
LocalAppDataFolder.
Normally I ignore ICE warnings and fix all ICE errors. I know the tricks to
suppress ICE38, ICE64 et al when dealing with user profile data. Is it
really needed? My install and uninstall seem to be working just fine. What
would be the concern over ignoring these?
