[wix-users] Need EAR and ECCN information on WIX toolset usage

If I use WIX toolset to create Windows installer package for commercial purpose, I believe we should be supplying EAR subjectivity and ECCN details. Hence I request to obtain the actual ECCN information if possible sooner.

WiX is an open source project not a large corporation.  I doubt any determination has ever been made with regard to your questions.  I would suspect it would fall under 5D992.c and is not subject to EAR.  I would consider working with FireGiant to sponsor submitting a classification request to the BIS if this is critical to you.
