[wix-users] Backward compatibility level of latest 3.X version of WIX with 3.4/3.5 version?

I think what Rob is saying is that too many bugs have been fixed between
those versions so things might *not* work the same way anymore. The only
way to find out will be to try it out.

Yes.

Of course, WiX v3.5 is almost a decade old. So, you may be dependent on
bugs no one remembers fixing.

There is no such thing as WiX v3.4.

What is the backward compatibility level of latest 3.X version of WIX with
3.4/3.5 version?
We are at the 3.5 version of WIX and wants to upgrade to latest 3.X
version, so want to know if we have some breaking changes on the way and do
we claim latest WIX 3.X versions are fully backward compatible?
