1) Creating a new UI by yourself allows you to do whatever you want within the constraints of Windows Installer. Need more than that, create a custom BA and then you can do whatever you want.
2) Icons are by file extension, as such for a MSI extension it is dictated by Windows Installer. Want a custom icon, build a bundle so you have an Exe which windows allows for custom icon resources.

Thank you very much Mr. Nir. However, I still have a couple of questions.
1. Is it possible to get rid of the "Choose the Setup Type" Dialog
completely? If so, how?
2. Is it possible to customize the Windows Installer icon? If so, how? I
have been able to customize the Banner and Dialog (using WixUIBannerBmp and
WixUIDialogBmp variable) but not sure how to customize the Windows
If yes, how? Please help.
