[wix-users] Empty WixVariable

So back to my original question: can I set WixVariable to empty string?

WixVariables are a "bind" time thing not "compile" time thing. <smile/>

I do not think WiX variables have anything to do with MSI. It is compile-time only thing.

I believe empty Wix Variables get deleted when the execution of MSI begins

1. What if I need it to be entry string/null?

2. Settings WixVariable to empty string does not result in error (WiX Toolset v3.11.0.1701). Does it mean the documentation is incorrect and I can rely on this behavior? Or is it a bug that will be fixed in the future versions?
