[wix-users] Open File Dialog

Hi,

I need to get the filename and path of a logo file that will be used in the 
application.
I'm looking for an open file dialog to add to my installer, but it looks 
like the closest thing is a PathEdit.
I have been getting error2353 when I try to use the PathEdit and am still 
trying to get that right, and I realized that this won't be what I need.

Do I have to use a custom action to get the path?

Why? It's not a bug; it's a warning that MsiServiceConfig is known to be 
buggy and apparently won't be fixed (per the SDK doc).

Are there plans to fix it? I hate suppressing errors (1150 is an error, not 
a warning).

After upgrading WiX to 3.11, we started to get the following error:







error CNDL1150: ServiceConfig functionality is documented in the Windows 
Installer SDK to "not [work] as expected." Consider replacing ServiceConfig 
with the WixUtilExtension ServiceConfig element.







I would happily replace ServiceConfig with WixUtilExtension, but it does not 
have OnInstall and ServiceSid properties that we are using. Are we missing 
something?
