Also if the 'op' is related to a Registry I would look at the parameters carefully before worrying about the security context, as I have seen situations where the OS reports Access Denied for situations where a Registry Path has a misspelling or the wrong type of a key value is specified preventing the registry value from being written.  So it may be something not specific to security.

It is "Could not commit storage. System error: [Access Denied]."


So the issue has to do with the security context that the user is using when your setup is launched.  Also it would be interesting to know the several lines prior to the log snippet provided to see which "op" is being executed.

I just downloaded it again just in case (it's no unheard off for me to link to the wrong case or look at the wrong log).  It's there
at about line 8840.  Searching for -2147287035 is another way to find it.

I can make the log available to you elsewhere if you contact me OffList.  And the installer is available (source too - Apache
licensed so no pollution issues) if you want.
