[wix-users] Error Loading wixproj in VS 2017

I'm getting the following error sometimes when loading a project in Visual Studio 2017:

C:\Solution\Project.wixproj : error  : The parent node is not itself parented.

It seems to be happening every other time I load the project.  Has anyone ran into this before?
