[wix-users] Install both x86 and x64 packages to "Program Files"

You can't do that.  If an msi contains any x86 component it lands in Program Files (x86) by design.

Hi,

using the WiX bootstrapper application (or the Burn engine resp.) how can I install both x64 and x86 MSI packages to (subfolders of) "C:\Program Files" i.e. how can I avoid the installing of x86 packages to "C:\Program Files (x86)" ?

In my setup project I use an Engine.Stringvariables to set the installation folder "C:\Program Files\myApp" and then specify the installation folder as MsiProperty for each package. No success, x86 packages are installed to "C:\Program Files(x86)\myApp".
