After years of typing the following: start-run cmd cd "\Program Files (x86)\WiX Toolset v3.11\bin" set PATH=%CD%;%PATH% It finally dawned on me to ask if WiX would be willing to include a WiX Tools Prompt shortcut similar to the way Visual Studio does. What say ye?
