[wix-devs] .Net 4.7

"Blocking issues" are nothing new with the DotNet framework, but this is the first time I've seen it hit several supported operating systems.  

Eventually, the requisite updates will become part of Windows Updates, as described here:

I have not tested DotNet 4.7 with burn yet, but I'm afraid that the error code for silent installations will translate to "Asia" (as it did with DotNet 4.6).  That is, the ultimate blocking issue is obscured by running the DotNet silently.

Well, that is a very poor design on Windows and .NET Frameworks part.

Sean, I forget but is the support for multiple MBA prerequisites working in WiX v4? It sounds like we may need to create a permanent/syscomp MSI to distribute this file for Microsoft.

I was just looking into creating a PR for the NetFxExtension parts for .NET 4.7 but then I read about these details:

.NET Framework 4.7 WPF features take a dependency on D3DCompiler_47.dll. 
This D3DCompiler_47.dll is not present by default in Windows 7 SP1, Windows 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows 2012 OS platforms. Hence these OS platforms require D3DCompiler_47.dll to be installed for .NET Framework
4.7 WPF features to work as expected.

I am not sure if the 4.7 stuff can be added like all other versions or if I should try to integrate this dll.

Any thoughts on this?
